BDMS celebrates World Meteorological Day 2010

Marking World Meteorological Day 2010 The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Service celebrated with a ceremony on the 23rd of March 2010 at Bubungan Dua Belas in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Communications. The hightlight of the occasion was the official launching of a colour-coded weather warning system by the honourable guest of honour. A mini exhibition showcasing meteorological instruments and posters was also held as well as the launching of a photography competition carry the theme "Weather and its effects". Also in attendance during the ceremony was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications.
